1-Sehwag holds the record for the highest score by an Indian batsman in Tests. He scored 319 runs against South Africa at the Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on 28thMarch, 2008.

2-Viru holds the record for the fastest triple century (300 runs off 270 deliveries) in the match against SA at Chennai.

3-His score of 309 against Pakistan scored on 28 March, 2004, against Pakistan at Multan is the second best score following his 319 runs against SA.Post this knock, Viru was nicknamed ‘Sultan of Multan’

Rolling over the arms, Sehwag has picked up 96 wickets with an economy of 5.26 with a personal best of 4/6.
